Before beginning the list of the Top 100 Eurovision Songs of All-Time, first, we pay honorable mentions tribute to those songs which will not be joining us.
As of the completion of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, we scored 1,721 songs. Of those, 1,621 did not make the top 100 list, because that is called math. Out of those 1,621, there are a handful that had a legitimate case for sneaking into the top 100, but for one reason or another, they did not score highly enough.
Keep in mind the following: Out of our 500-point scoring system, which we have detailed on our rankings videos like this one from 1963, the difference between 100th place and 118th is just three points. The margins are very small.
In any event, time to dole out some honorable mentions to the non-winners. (And yes, there are some winners on the list, to be honest. Let’s start there.)
Honorable Mentions: Winners Outside the Top 100 (101-200)
This one was two points away from getting into the top 100. We do not consider it Germany’s best song, but it is up there.
The United Kingdom has had so many top-tier songs, it was almost impossible for them all to make the top 100. We noted (as an unpopular opinion) that it was not overly special, but certainly not bad.
The most recent winner, as of 2024, had a vocally-excellent performance.
Yugoslavia slid three songs into the top 100, but not its only winner.
Ireland with their 1994 winner had the same issue as the United Kingdom in 1976: Lots of strong contenders, not all of which will make the cut.
Honorable Mentions: Notable Non-Winners Outside the Top 100 (101-150)
The following are the songs in the top 200 which did not make the final cut. These are broken into two subheadings: 101st to 150th, and 151st to 200th.
She will go on to stardom post-Eurovision, but unfortunately, we could not find her a spot in the top 100.
This was one of Iceland’s best entries, but that was a very narrow miss.
Top 100 or not, this song captivated the hearts of many.
This song was criminally underrated and ahead of its time.
Notable Non-Winners Outside the Top 100 (151-200)
This was Estonia’s best entry, not the song the year prior that allowed them to host.
We favored this song more than the one she won with in 1964.
What a great 90s bop.
