A majority of countries which will participate in the 2025 Eurovision Song Contests will select their entries by a national competition. Just a handful at this point will have an internal selection.

What We Know So Far: Eurovision 2025
At least 38 countries will take part in the next Eurovision Song Contest, which is one more than last year. Armenia is rumored to be bringing back their national selection contest after a four-year absence, which has the side effect of confirming their participation, as expected.
Montenegro is returning after a three-year absence, and will have the first national final of the season: Montesong 2024.
Cyprus was the first nation to announce its participant for 2025: Theo Evan.
2024’s contest winner, Nemo of Switzerland, was an internal selection.
The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Basel, Switzerland. It is the country’s first time hosting Eurovision since 1989.
Slovenia and Belgium are bringing back their national selection contests for 2025.
Sanremo (Italy) will celebrate its 75th edition in 2025, which makes it by far the longest-running national competition in the Eurovision sphere. It is five years older than Eurovision itself, and the original contest in 1956 was inspired by Sanremo’s success.
