Belgium Eurosong 2025 Song Rankings

Who will win Belgium Eurosong 2025?  I can give you a one-in-eight shot of guessing it right, anyway.

La Belgique does not usually hold a national competition, so the fact that they are doing it now makes things very interesting.  People have also been high on Belgium in the early going, with bookmakers suggesting they are among the favorites prior to all the songs being announced.  That might lead you to ask, how good are the songs, anyway?

We watched all eight performances from the showcase nights and arranged the acts from the bottom to the top.

So, When Is Belgium Eurosong 2025?

Belgium’s national final will take place on Saturday, 1 February, and the show is expected to last for less than two hours.

All scheduled national finals have been placed on our calendar.

The name of this show is “Eurosong.” This is not to be confused with the other Eurosong in Ireland, which is why we specify Belgium here.

What Happened in Belgium Last Year?

In 2024, Belgium made an internal selection of Mustii, and he was the first artist to be announced in the 2024 season.  His song, “Before the Party’s Over,” did not make it out of the semifinal despite being expected to do so.

Belgium Eurosong 2025 Review and Rankings

Before we begin, as always: We’re being respectful in our review, and please show the artists your respect as well.

8. “Air Balloon” (Lenn)

This one unfortunately fell flat (see what we did there).  There would be no lane for this at Eurovision, and even aside from that, it’s less interesting than most other songs here.

7. “Gloria” (Stefanie Callebaut)

I wanted to give her more credit, because she had some vocal range, but this song was too all over the place.  I was not sure what to make of it when it ended, and I still do not hours later, so that can’t be a good sign.

6. “Fille à papa” (Le Manou)

This was one of the most interesting songs on the card and it had a good beat.  My issue is that the vocal performance was not for me.

5. “Monster” (Jelle van Dael)

At the end of the day, this is an average song, but she did the best she could have with it.

4. “Perfectly Imperfect” (Leez)

She is a talented performer, but this is the sort of song you listen to and wonder where you have heard it before – it unfortunately was not very unique.

3. “Pull Up” (Grace)

This is a decent song overall and I enjoyed listening to it.  I think if the vocals had been better than average, this could have contended for the win.

2. “Désolée” (Mentissa)

It had a very nice sound and it was an all-around respectable performance.  Belgium should be proud if they send this one.  This song rated the highest of all in terms of overall impression, but the top song checked a few more boxes.

1. “Strobe Lights” (Red Sebastian)

This will definitely be the favorite.  It’s the most Eurovision-ready song here.  It’s a more unique song, he sang well, and it’s staged well.  My only critique is that it turned out to be more sedate than I expected.  With such a fast beat, I would have expected him to go hard with the vocals and escalate the intensity at some point, but it just never happens.
