Six will enter, but one will leave a winner – yet, first, who do we have at the top of our Ireland Eurosong 2025 song rankings?
The competition in the Republic of Ireland for the coveted Eurovision bid looks fierce this year. You might think it’s only six songs, how good could it be? Well, the national broadcaster packed some density of talent into a small lineup, so I feel confident in saying that Ireland could go in a few different directions this year and be recognized for it.
We prepared a new video in which we rank all the contenders from last to first. Below, find some basic info on the Eurosong contenders.
So, When Is Ireland Eurosong 2025?
It’s taking place on Friday, 7 February on the “Late Late Show” at 9:35pm local time. This has been the recent format for Ireland, where the national final is not its own dedicated television show, but rather a special edition of an existing show. This will all happen over the course of one evening.
An up-to-date listing of national finals can be found here.
What Happened in Ireland Last Year?
The winner of last year’s Eurosong, Bambie Thug, went to Eurovision and cashed in the country’s best result since 2000. They finished in sixth place in the grand final.
