Melodi Grand Prix 2025 Song Rankings

Melodi Grand Prix 2025 will soon be upon us, and in our latest video, we have reviewed and ranked all nine contenders.

In terms of the production itself, MGP is one of the best national finals that Eurovision fans will see on an annual basis.  Norway puts on a good show, but will its winner this year go on to great things?  We will have to find out in May.

So, When Is Melodi Grand Prix 2025?

MGP 2025 is taking place on Saturday, 15 February.  It will be held on one night only, unlike in past editions, with just a grand final.

A full calendar showing all of the national finals can be found here.

Melodi Grand Prix 2024 saw Gåte win with their song “Ulveham.”  When they went on to Sweden for Eurovision, Norway was the last country to make it out of the second semifinal, but they finished in last in the grand final.

Melodi Grand Prix 2025 Review and Rankings

In this video, we fly through all nine songs, and then place them on our chart, starting with ninth place.  We do not rank all of the songs in every video – usually just the ones towards the top – but whereas MGP is one of the most interesting national finals year-in and year-out, this deserved a full ranking of nine entries.

Remember always that we respect all of the performing acts, and that should be the standard.
