Serbia will soon choose its song for Eurovision, which can only mean one thing: Pesma za Evroviziju 2025 is near.
That’s right, folks: It’s time to fire up the RTS internet streams and crack open a bottle of Jelen as we celebrate another contest of Serbian music. 30 songs will participate, but just one will get the golden ticket to Basel, Switzerland this May.
Whittling that 30 down will take a few days, but like they said in “Highlander,” in the end, there can be only one.
So, When Is Pesma za Evroviziju 2025?
This contest will take place over the course of three nights. The first semifinal of 15 songs will be on Tuesday, 25 February, while the second will take place on Thursday, 27 February. On Saturday, 1 March, the final will be held, and 16 songs will compete.
Keep up to date with the national finals calendar here.
What Happened in Serbia Last Year?
Pesma 2024 was won by Teya Dora and her song “Ramonda.” She went on to qualify for the grand final, in which she placed 17th.
Serbia is on a qualification streak of six contests in a row, and has only failed to qualify three times since becoming an independent country.

Pesma za Evroviziju 2025 Review and Rankings
Before we begin, as always: We try our best to be as respectful as possible, and we wish all the performing artists the best.
Below, we will rank the overall top fifteen, irrespective of which semifinal in which they will appear.
15. “La la la” (Ivana Štrbac)
The lyrics were kind of basic, but otherwise it was an okay song. She sang fine.
14. “Žali srce moje” (Maja Nikolić)
This was another song where the lyrics were relatively weak, but the sound was a little more unique and it was easy to listen to this one.
13. “Da mi se vratiš” (Biber)
I wanted to like this one more. It was a pretty song but ended up being kind of dull, which is why ultimately it did not go higher.
12. “Mamurna jutra” (AltCtrl)
Another one I wanted to like more. It could have been better vocally, but even aside from that, it was more forgettable than I had hoped.
11. “Ja sam bolja” (Tanja Banjanin)
This song would fit right in at Festival da Canção. It’s pleasant and I respected the effort, but not a Eurovision song, and not one that is likely to stand out in this competition.
10. “Rolerkoster” (Džet Vega)
It got off to a slow start, then got better, then slowed down again. Would have liked to see better vocals.
9. “Durum durum” (Tam)
I think she could have taken this one farther. What I heard was a decent basis, and that also includes some vocal range on her part, but the song lacked a second gear.
8. “Aladin” (Harem Girls)
They’re drag queens, so I already like them. It was a relatively average effort and kind of a fun song, but not a banger like some of the others.
7. “Mask” (Vukayla)
Kind of a similar feeling to the number nine song here, I really wanted her to go for it but she came up a little short. There is the foundation of an interesting song.
6. “Gaia” (Mila)
The song sounded nice and I credited the vocals as being respectable, but it turned out to be a little too slow. I’m not sure if Serbia will go in that direction again this year given that a slow ballad won last year.
5. “Mila” (Princ)
The best vocals we rated in the contest. I wish the song had been a little more interesting because this could have easily been in first place.
4. “Šesto čulo” (Bojana x David)
This is a fine piece of dance-pop music. It might even win this contest, but I feel this is the sort of song that must stage well in order to sell it.
3. “Turbo žurka” (Mimi Mercedez)
This is a standout. She’s dropping a beat and it was one of the most interesting songs in the contest, but we will see if it is good enough to win.
2. “Kameleon” (Jelena Aleen)
Not a bad song at all. Decent singing, somewhat interesting composition, and lyrically it was one of the better songs on the slate.
1. “Hvala ti” (Lensy)
She might not have been the best vocalist, but if she wasn’t first, she was second. Couple that with a decent song and you have another one of the standouts of this contest.
