With the contest just days away, what are the key events on the Eurovision 2025 schedule?
The 37 performing acts and their delegations are in Basel, Switzerland, waiting for the main events to occur at St. Jakobshalle. As most Eurovision fans know, there are three live shows where the big decisions will be made, and in those we will know who has succeeded and who has been defeated.
However, the three live shows are not the only components of the Basel experience. For the entirety of “Eurovision Week,” there are notable events throughout, and many chances for fans to witness the happenings, as well as countless dress rehearsals.

Eurovision 2025 Schedule Breakdown
Live Shows
The three live shows will be as follows:
- Tuesday, 13 May: First Semifinal
- Thursday, 15 May: Second Semifinal
- Saturday, 17 May: Grand Final
All three of these events will begin at 9pm (21h00) Central European Time. These are the only shows which will be broadcast live on television. Tickets to these shows were sold out long ago.
Other Arena Shows
There will be six other “arena shows” at the 2025 contest outside of the live television events. All of them are technically dress rehearsals for the live shows, and two each will occur prior to each live show.
The only key difference is that the “evening preview” show on Friday, 16 May will be the jury final. This is the show in which the juries will watch the performances and determine their scores, which will be revealed on Saturday night. As such, for the 26 countries in the final, Friday night success is just as important as on Saturday night.
