On the doorstep of the top ten in this Eurovision Top 100 list, Luxembourg’s “Après toi” sits at number 11.
Vicky Leandros, like every other Luxembourgish Eurovision winner through 2025, is not from Luxembourg. However, this Greek national represented them twice, in 1967 and 1972. She is also someone that this website caused to do a complete 180 between her two performances. In our 1967 review, which has yet to be published, we were not huge fans of “L’amour est bleu” despite it becoming a hit in its time. However, we were all in on her 1972 winning song, which is without a doubt one of the best Eurovision songs of all-time.

What I Liked
This song’s sound is so, so good. It has a bit of a folksy beat to it at first, but make no mistake: it’s a bold song built on big vocals. Vicky delivered them. Her singing was exceptional and passionate.
From those vocals to the composition itself, this was one of the best Eurovision songs of the 1970s, not just that particular year.
