Eurovision 2025 2nd Semifinal Predictions

We’ve already churned out the first set of predictions, so now we turn to the Eurovision 2025 2nd semifinal predictions. Who is moving on to Saturday’s final?

While the first semifinal will be held on Tuesday, the second will be on Thursday, 15 May, in Basel, Switzerland. Unlike the first semifinal, there will be 16 countries participating in this event – 10 will move on to Saturday, while the remaining six are going to be stopped in their tracks.

Here, we will make The Euro Yard’s official predictions as to who goes on and who goes home.

News and Notes on the 2nd Semifinal

  • This will take place on Thursday, 15 May.
  • France, the United Kingdom, and Germany are the participating automatic qualifiers in this semifinal. They can vote for your favorite country, but you cannot vote for them until Saturday.
  • Australia has won their semifinal more times (3) than they have failed to qualify (2).
  • Denmark has failed to reach the final four contests in a row; their last appearance was in 2019. Malta has failed three times in a row, and finished last in their semifinal each of the last two contests.
  • Finland and Lithuania have both reached the grand final four contests in a row.
  • Last year, Latvia broke a streak of six-straight losses in the semifinals.
  • Montenegro has only qualified twice in 12 attempts. Meanwhile, neighboring Serbia has qualified six times in a row.
  • Ireland has not qualified in consecutive years since 2012-2013.
